NOTE: Petty theft is common in Nairobi as well other part of the world. As a general rule, the safest place for your valuables is on your person in a neck wallet or money belt. Your hotel room or reception may also have a safe in which to store things. If you do decide to go exploring, make sure you get local advice on where it is and isn’t safe to walk – particularly for later in the day. Be careful not to leave bags unattended on chairs or the floor when you’re in a bar or restaurant. Without being paranoid, appearing vigilant is a great deterrence to would-be thieves. Also, make scans of important travel documents and email them to yourself – this will save you hours of time in paperwork if anything does happen.

Today after breakfast we will be heading for some activities before heading to Naishava as its one of the greatest place and one of the most famous places due the farming of roses flowers. Nearly 50% of the rose’s flowers in the world come from Naivasha and the main market is in Holland before it being taken to other places of the world.
From our hotel to Naivasha the distance to cover will be 210Km which will take nearly 6 hours drive due to stops in between as there will be some historical sites to visit.
Elsamere visit and Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus. The lake is almost 13kms across, but its waters are shallow with an average depth of five metres.
Lake area varies greatly according to rainfall, with an average range between 114 and 991 sq kms. At the beginning of the 20th Century, Naivasha completely dried up and effectively disappeared. The resulting open land was farmed, until heavy rains a few years later caused the lake to return to existence, swallowing up the newly established estates.
The lake and its surroundings are rich in natural bounty, and the fertile soils and water supply have made this one of Kenya’s prime agricultural regions. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia Xanthophlea, known as the yellow fever tree.
At 0330 hours, embark on your afternoon boat ride on the shore of the lake and a visit to Elsamere Museum for a short movie of “Born Free” and High Tea before departing back to the lodge for dinner
